Family Outreach Ministries

As a parish we partner with organizations in the area to uplift and support families in need.
You can make a difference in a family's life. Participate today helping families regain stability and control of their lives, giving them a true "hand up." As a parish, we partner with local churches to supply a safe place to sleep and nourishing to meals, to relieve some of the burden while they focus on working with their case worker, finding jobs, and a safe place to live for their family. At Nativity we host families 4 times/year at the Sr. Jackie House.

Volunteer needs:
meal preparation, evening hosts, overnight hosts, laundry helpers and host-week setup.

"Because No Child Should Have to Sleep on the Floor"

Meets with Families that are referred to them by various Social Service agencies to help, at no cost, to help furnish or provide items of need for their homes. Donations from Parishes and the community of gently used furniture or household items are greatly appreciated, as well as volunteers to deliver furnishings or pick up items that are donated.

If you have home furnishings that you would like to donate to Homemakers, please contact Pastoral Care and we will make the referral.

Volunteer Requirements:

Online Safe Environment Training and a fingerprinting/background check are both required for all volunteers. Please call Pastoral Care to get started.
